LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project's Report Released

Poshi Mikalson, MSW, Project Director of the LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project, announced on December 18, 2012 the release of the Project's report titled First, Do No Harm: Reducing Disparities for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning Populations in California. This report is the culmination of more than two years of community-based research, and includes findings, promising practices and recommendations to reduce disparities and improve mental wellness for LGBTQ communities in California. The California LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project is being carried out by Equality California Institute and Mental Health of Northern California through a collaborative arrangement with funds provided by the California Department of Public Health under the Mental Health Services Act.
