The Joint Commission Releases Welcoming and Inclusive Guidelines for Hospitals

The Joint Commission, which accredits hospitals and health care organizations in the US, has released its Advancing Effective Communication, Cultural Competence and Patient- and Family-Centered Care for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Community: A Field Guide.  This document is available for free from The Joint Commission's website.
